FAQ
The questions everyone asks first.
Can't find yours? Email hello@prolocals.net or message Estela on WhatsApp — we'll answer it personally.
Fill out our sign-up form, or email us at hello@prolocals.net. Estela personally responds within 1–2 working days with the next available group, format, and current rates.
Both. We run in-person classes in Vilnius and online groups for students based elsewhere or with shifting schedules. Some intakes are hybrid. Tell us your preference in the registration form.
You'll speak from day one. Most students hold their first short conversation by class three. By the end of the 12-week A1, you can introduce yourself, manage daily situations, and approach the A1 exam confidently.
Pricing depends on group, format, and intake. Email hello@prolocals.net and we'll send the current rate sheet — no spam, no marketing list.
The only officially recognized certificate is the one issued by the Lithuanian government after you pass the state language exam. We don't issue our own certificate — instead, we prepare you fully to pass that exam, and the certificate itself is awarded by the state.
No. All learning materials, vocabulary tools, and practice resources are included. A notebook helps — that's it.
Informal sessions where students speak Lithuanian with native speakers in a relaxed setting — café meet-ups, walks, themed evenings. They are part of the course experience, not an add-on.
Estela teaches all main A1 cohorts personally. As Prolocals grows, carefully selected co-teachers handle social speaking classes and supplementary practice sessions. You'll always know in advance who runs your group.
Yes — but no useless busywork. Short, focused tasks: practising a real conversation, reviewing vocabulary with our structured tools, or preparing a small piece of speaking for the next class. Around 1–2 hours a week.
4 to 8 people. Small enough that everyone speaks every class, large enough to practice real conversation dynamics.
None. The A1 Beginner Course assumes zero prior knowledge. If you already know some Lithuanian, mention your level on the form — we'll place you correctly.
Yes. The A1 course covers everything required for the A1 state exam — and many of our students pass it on the first try. For A2 / PR-related preparation, we run dedicated modules.
English is used to explain grammar and structure clearly, especially early on. Lithuanian is used as much as possible in actual practice — and increases steadily through the course.
